Arkansas Legislative Health Care Task Force Preliminary Report To Governor

This report was released on December 17, 2015 by the Arkansas Legislative Health Care Task Force to the Governor. Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson formed the task force in 2015 to issue recommendations on the governor’s plans for the Medicaid program. The governor’s plan called for continuing the Medicaid expansion private option, but negotiating reforms with the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The reformed private option would be called Arkansas Works. The governor’s plan seeks to save $835 million over five years in the traditional Medicaid program . . .
