Progress Update On Mississippi’s Public Mental Health System
In this document released in September 2015, the Mississippi Department of Mental Health summarized improvements made from January 2011 to June 2015 to the state's public mental health system for children and adults. The state began improving the system because the federal Department of Justice (DOJ) said its investigation found that the state failed to provide services to individuals with disabilities in the most integrated settings appropriate to their needs.
