On November 16, 2015, the U.S. Administration of Children and Families released a report on state use of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds. The report provides state by state information on spending on the thirteen allowable expenditure categories including: basic assistance, work-related activities, child care, administration and systems, out-of-wedlock pregnancy prevention, refundable tax credits, individual development accounts, non-recurrent short-term benefits, transportation, two-parent family programs, other, expenditures authorized under prior law, and transfers to social services block grant . . .
