This amendment was released on May 23, 2016, by the federal Department of Labor (DOL). The amendment modifies a final rule released the same day that raises the overtime exemption threshold for white collar workers; enforcement of the final rule goes into effect on December 1, 2016. In the amendment, the DOL said it will implement a time-limited non-enforcement policy from December 1, 2016 to March 17, 2019, for provider organizations that operate Medicaid-funded services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in residential homes and facilities with 15 or fewer beds . . .
