Final Rule: Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System
On June 2, 2016, the federal Department of Health and Human Services released this final rule regarding the Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS), which states can build to support case management and data collections. This final rule replaces the Statewide and Tribal Automated Child Welfare Information Systems (S/TACWIS) rule and gives states more flexibility in the design of the information system.
