Catholic Charities Closes Columbus, Nebraska Facility
Catholic Charities of the Omaha Archdiocese is closing their mental illness and substance abuse residential treatment facility in Columbus, Nebraska. The move comes in support of a business decision to move away from programs that receive government funding, due to funding failing to keep up with the cost of care.
The Link, and Women's Empowering Life Line – both in Norfolk – are stepping in to fill this gap in Columbus services for consumers. Catholic Charities is currently either discharging or helping transfer current residents to other facilities.
