ActiveProtective Raises $2.8 Million In Additional Funding For Senior Citizen Smart-Deploy Airbag Belt For Fall-Injury Prevention
ActiveProtective, a health care start-up company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has created a belt that can both detect a fall and deploy a micro airbag to protect from fall-related injuries such as hip fractures. The company has raised $2.8 million in round-3 funding to support pilot studies that partner with two large senior care providers, and to expand applications for the device including high-risk occupations, sports, and military purposes. This money brings the total raised for device development to $5.6 million.
