RespectAbility Receives Ford Foundation Grant To Create Paid Fellowships
The Ford Foundation has provided a grant to RespectAbility to create and offer supervised Harriet Tubman Fellowships to select participants in the National Leadership Program. The grants will support young leaders with and without disabilities who are entering the public policy, advocacy, journalism, public relations, and other leadership roles.
Traditionally internships are unpaid, limiting the ability of people to receive experience due to the inability to afford the necessary time and expenses. The Ford Grant allows RespectAbility to offer eight supervised Harriet Tubman Fellowships for young leaders to gain the skills, contacts, and experience needed for continued education or careers . . .
