Illinois Foster Youth Successful Transition to Adulthood Act
August 25, 2009 The Foster Youth Successful Transition to Adulthood Act will allow emancipated minors- people who leave foster care before age 21- to reenter the child welfare system or to access services and supports without reentering. Youth accessing the services will be assigned a case manager to help build a personal development plan to increase self-sufficiency skills.
