CMS Could Do More To Harmonize Requirements Across Programs

On December 22, 2016, the U.S. Government Accountability Office released this report on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) shortfalls concerning Medicaid personal care services. The report includes a four-state analysis of the ways each state used to protect beneficiaries receiving in-home personal care services from harm and their methods to help ensure billed services were actually provided.
