Silver Cross & US HealthVest Partner For New Illinois Behavioral Health Hospital

Silver Cross Hospital and US HealthVest have partnered to build a new 100-bed behavioral health hospital in New Lenox, Illinois by 2019. The $22 million Silver Oaks Hospital is being built in response to the mental health and substance abuse crisis in Will and Grundy counties in the southwest Chicago suburbs. Currently, more than half of that area's consumers needing behavioral health and substance abuse treatment are forced to either leave the area for treatment, endure excessive waits in emergency rooms, or be sent to jail.
