Michigan Development Projects That Include Permanent Supportive Housing Receive Affordable Housing Credits

On January 26, 2017, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) awarded $4.2 million in new affordable housing projects in the Grand Rapids area. In total the MSHDA received $11.6 million total dollars in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).

The funding will be used to create 138 units of affordable housing, 13 market rate units, and 30 permanent supportive housing units. The units will be spread across three sites in the Grand Rapids area. Two of the sites will be developed by the Inner City Christian Federation and the third site will be developed by the Genesis . . .
