Genesis Adds Davenport Iowa Outpatient Mental Health Intervention Facility

Genesis Health System has opened a three bed mental health intervention unit at its Genesis Medical Center in west Davenport, Iowa, for consumers with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health problems. The unit offers alternative options to behavioral health patients who come to the adjacent emergency department.

Patients at the Anna Neal Behavioral Intervention Unit can stay up to three days as outpatients rather than being admitted to the hospital, so that early behavioral health intervention can occur in a more appropriate setting.
