Legislative Fiscal Estimate For New Jersey Senate Bill 3, To Require Insurance Coverage Of Addiction Treatment

On February 10, 2017, the New Jersey State Senate published this legislative fiscal estimate for New Jersey Senate Bill 3. This Bill requires health insurance plans to provide unlimited benefits for inpatient and outpatient treatment of substance use disorders at in-network facilities for treatment of substance use disorders; would place certain restrictions on the prescription of opioids and certain other drugs; and would require health care clinical professionals to attend related continuing education classes . . .
