EMILY’s List vs. Federal Election Commission
September 18, 2009 The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled that restrictions imposed by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on how non-profit organizations could spend funds to support state and local candidates violated the First Amendment.
