Opinion & Order In Moda Health Plans, Inc. v. United States

On February 9, 2017, the United States Court of Federal Claims released this opinion and order for Moda Health Plans, Inc. v. United States. In the opinion and order, Moda, an Oregon-based  insurer, was awarded $214 million after Congress failed to appropriate monies for the federal government to fund insurer risk corridor payments due under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The Order also requests that counsel for the parties submit a joint status report on or before March 1, 2017, indicating the proposed steps and schedule for completing the resolution of this action . . .
