Eisenhower Center For Traumatic Brain Injury To Open In Jacksonville
The Eisenhower Center is opening a Jacksonville, Florida campus to serve consumers with traumatic brain injury. Once renovated and opened, the facility will provide beds for up to 25 consumers: primarily veterans and retired professional football players. The facility could eventually be expanded to serve up to 50 consumers.
The facility will initially serve both short-term consumers (approximately 60% of its residents, or 15 beds) who can transition back to community life after an average 45-day stay, and long-term consumers (approximately 40% of its residents, or 10 beds) who require long-term care.
