North Carolina Child & Family Services Review, Round 3
On December 15, 2015, the Federal Department of Health and Human Services (DHS) released this final child and family services review (CFSR) of the North Carolina department of Child and Family Services in accordance with titles IV-B and IV-E of the Social Security Act. The CFSRs enable the Children’s Bureau to:
ensure conformity with certain federal child welfare requirements;
determine what is actually happening to children and families as they are engaged in child welfare services; and
assist states in enhancing their capacity to help children and families achieve positive outcomes . . .
