Actions Needed To Ensure Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder & Traumatic Brain Injury Are Considered In Misconduct Separations

On May 11, 2017, the Federal Government Accountability Office (GAO) released this report to Congressional committees on ensuring that post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) are considered in misconduct separations. The report also makes recommendations regarding inconsistencies in the screening and training policies in the Air Force and Navy, and that military services monitor adherence to their screening, training, and counseling policies.
