Veterans Administration’s Faster Care For Veterans Program To Improve Access To Care Through Self-Scheduling

The Veterans Administration is working to improve access to care through its Faster Care For Veterans Program. The program will enhance the ability for consumers to schedule and confirm medical appointments via an electronic portal platform with 24/7 access.

The platform will let consumers electronically schedule, modify, and cancel appointments for primary care, specialty care, and mental health. Appointments can be managed for both in-person and telehealth care. The system will also alert consumers when an appointment is imminent, and when follow-up appointments are needed.
