Two Hospitals Selected To Increase Rural Psychiatric & Substance Use Treatment Capacity
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) announced the selection of two hospitals to increase their rural psychiatric and substance use treatment capacity. Duke Life Point Maria Parham Medical Center and Charles A. Cannon, Jr. Memorial Hospital will receive grants from the agency to increase their capacity.
The amounts awarded to the two hospitals combine for a total of $16,513,828, and will be used for items such as psychiatric inpatient facility renovation, and the conversion of acute medical beds into licensed psychiatric inpatient beds for adults. These additions will be added in an effort to . . .
