Justice Department To Crack Down On Addiction Treatment Centers Filing Fraudulent Claims
The United States Department of Justice plans to crack down on addiction treatment centers that have filed fraudulent claims. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is expected to announce law enforcement action that will focus on investigating opioid treatment programs that are exploiting Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) insurance marketplace plans. Anticipated to be among those charged are people running drug addiction treatment centers who have filed bogus claims, as well as those who have filed reimbursement claims for drugs that they then turn around and sell illegally.
