New Psychiatric Hospital, River Place Behavioral Health, Opening In LaPlace, Louisiana

The Ochsner Health System announced it is is developing a new facility, River Place Behavioral Health, in LaPlace, Louisiana. The 82-bed acute psychiatric hospital will serve the greater New Orleans metropolitan area.

Anticipated to open in 2018, the new facility will be built in the current location of Ochsner's River Parishes' Emergency Room. Upon opening, it will serve adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and other mental health disorders.
