A collaboration to assist homeless veterans has been struck between the Santa Fe County Housing Authority, Santa Fe Association of Realtors, and The Housing Trust. The three entities will be working together to create a new program, titled the Santa Fe Area Homes for Vets Program, to help homeless veterans in the Santa Fe area obtain home ownership.

The three parties signed a memorandum of understanding on July 11 that details the roles of each in bringing the program to fruition. The following is what each party has agreed to:
