Riverdale Opens Medical Behavioral Health Unit In The Bronx

Riverdale Nursing Home announced that it is adding a behavioral health unit in addition to its other programs. "Healing Hands," the new program arriving with the unit, will serve consumers living with addiction disorder that requires short-term or long-term medical care.

The 16-bed unit will offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to meet the medical and recovery needs of consumers simultaneously. Consumers will have access to methadone or suboxone as part of the MAT program, as well as support from psychiatrists, psychologists, physicians, nurses, and social workers.
