Blue Cross North Carolina Taps CMS Chief Medical Officer As New President

Beginning October 1, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina's retiring president and CEO will be replaced by Dr. Patrick Conway, the chief medical officer for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The company has stated that the current president and CEO of the insurer will continue in his role until his replacement is comfortably adjusted to the position.
