Oregon Department Of Human Services Selects New Child Welfare Director

The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) selected Marilyn Jones as its new Child Welfare Director. Ms. Jones will begin serving in her new role on October 9.

Ms. Jones will be replacing Lena Alhusseini, who resigned from the position in May. This appointment comes during a time of some turmoil for Oregon’s child welfare system, which has been having trouble with issues such as high staff turnover and maltreatment allegations.
