New York Governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced the creation of a new team for helping to prevent suicide, the New York State Suicide Prevention Task Force.

Responsibilities of the new task force will include examining and evaluating current suicide prevention and mental health programs and policies, as well as making recommendations on how to increase access and support to services for those in need.
