McLaren Health Acquires MDwise

McLaren Health (McLaren) recently completed its acquisition of MDwise, a Medicaid health plan in Indiana. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.

The purchase expands McLaren's system to serve over 620,000 consumers, and marks the system's first venture outside of the state of Michigan. The acquisition, which was finalized on December 29 of 2017, was effective as of January 1, 2018. McLaren anticipates that the acquisition will bring its annual revenue to nearly $6 billion.
