Colorado’s Largest Addiction Disorder Treatment Provider Shutting Down
After 42 years of operation, Arapahoe House - Colorado’s largest addiction disorder treatment provider - is shutting down. The provider includes a total of seven clinics located throughout the Denver area.
The clinic, which serves over 5,000 people a year, cites lack of government funding as the primary culprit for why it needs to close. Arapahoe House – which had been operating at a deficit over a course of seven years - had been cutting programs for the past two years in attempts to stay open. As a result of the closing, a projected 200 people will be losing their jobs.
