Michigan DHHS White Paper On The Section 298 Pilots To Integrate Behavioral & Physical Health

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services released this white paper in November 2017. It presents the expectations and parameters for the state's upcoming pilots to integrate Medicaid physical and behavioral health services. The pilots are authorized by Section 298 of Michigan Public Act 107 of 2017. The objective of the pilots is to test how the state may better integrate the behavioral and physical health delivery systems in order to improve both behavioral and physical health outcomes, maximize efficiencies, minimize unnecessary costs, and achieve material increases in behavioral health services without increases in overall Medicaid spending . . .
