Good Samaritan Hospital Closing

Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in Dayton will be closing by the end of 2018, according to a recent announcement made by Premier Health. Premier Health cited the closure as part of its new strategic plan, as well as due to changing national and local dynamics in health care.

As a result of the closure, about 1,600 jobs are expected to be impacted. However, no other Premier hospitals are expected to be affected. Over the coming months, community input will be collected for redevelopment of the property.
