Merck Subsidiary StayWell Acquires MedHelp
StayWell recently announced that it will acquire the mobile health portion of MedHelp, which includes several consumer-facing mobile health apps. MedHelp will be split into two halves, with MedHelp’s patient network services being acquired by Vitals, a health care transparency company.
StayWell is majority-owned by Healthcare Services & Solutions, a subsidiary of Merck. The company offers employer-specific solutions related to medical specialties. StayWell will extend its reach to 3 million users of MedHelp’s platform and acquire their portfolio of mobile health apps with their new acquisition.
