BCSC Receives $1.1 Million From Lilly Endowment

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. recently received $1.1 million from the Lilly Endowment. The funds will go towards helping students who are dealing with drug and alcohol addiction disorder, suicidal thoughts, homelessness, and other social issues.

The funding will permit the district to develop a two-tiered approach that will focus on preventing and providing acute care to prekindergarten through 12th grade students through community health partners. The program will take measures to identify students who could be dealing with problems ranging from drug and alcohol abuse to domestic issues.
