Contra Costa Opens Juvenile Justice Center In Walnut Creek
Contra Costa County Superior Court recently made improvements to the county’s justice system and opened a new juvenile justice center. The changes are designed to protect the privacy of juveniles tried by the court.
Three court rooms that have been unused for years in the Walnut Creek Superior Court building will now be dedicated to juvenile matters. Juvenile hearings will no longer take place alongside adult cases at the courthouse in Martinez. Walnut Creek’s traffic courtroom has been refurbished with new desks, chairs and carpeting.
