Virginia Mason To Purchase Edmonds Family Medicine
Virginia Mason Health System (Virginia Mason) is acquiring Seattle-based organization Edmonds Family Medicine (Edmonds). The financial terms of the purchase have not been disclosed, and the acquisition date—while possibly in January—is not yet official.
Edmonds currently operates a 336-bed hospital in the city, and a 226-bed hospital in Yakima. Statements from Edmonds leadership have indicated their hopes that being part of Virginia Mason’s system will help them to more effectively recruit clinical professionals. The Edmonds clinic serves around 40,000 consumers.
