Turning ‘A New Leaf’: Broken Arrow Nonprofit Announces Plans To Build ‘Agrihood’ In Owasso
A New Leaf, a nonprofit organization out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, recently announced it will be creating an “agrihood,” or a largescale agricultural community, for adults with disabilities in Owasso. The site will be located on a 50-acre lot and will allow participants to gain experience in farming and horticulture.
The organization anticipates that the new initiative will help integrate more individuals with disabilities into the local community, while supplying them with opportunities to succeed in living more independently.
