MEDICAID ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES: Improved Federal Oversight Of Beneficiary Health & Welfare Is Needed
In this report on February 5, 2018, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) reported its findings about how states and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) oversee Medicaid assisted living services. The GAO found that states vary widely in the degree of mandatory reporting required for critical incidents involving assisted living residents.
