Premier Health Shutting Down Insurance Business

Premier Health (Premier) recently announced it is shutting down its insurance business. The announcement will end a three-year endeavor by Premier to operate both an insurance business and a health system.

Staff of the health network have been notified that the Premier division operating Medicare Advantage plans will officially close on April 1; the division operating commercial insurance plans will continue until next January. The health system has stated that its clinical professionals will continue to accept the same insurance policies from other companies that it has up to this point.
