Lyft Announces Integration With Allscripts EHR, Allowing 180,000 Clinical Professionals To Hail Rides For Consumers
Lyft, Inc. (Lyft) recently announced it is partnering with Allscripts to help allow up to 180,000 clinical professionals request non-emergency rides for consumers. The move comes in the wake of Uber’s recent announcement that it would be collaborating with health care organizations to provide consumers with transportation to and from medical appointments.
Specifically, Lyft will be integrating its services with Allscripts’ Sunrise electronic health record (EHR) system to allow about 7 million consumers access to rides for appointments. It is expected that about 2,500 hospitals will be involved in the collaboration.
