Arkansas Receives Federal Permission To Impose Medicaid Work Requirements
The state of Arkansas was recently granted permission by the federal government to impose work requirements for those seeking to obtain Medicaid. It is the third state to be granted such permission by the Trump administration.
As part of the requirements, able-bodied individuals seeking to receive Medicaid assistance or services must either be working at a job, or preparing to do so. The proposed state budget, however, does not as-of-yet include funding for the aforementioned workforce development to train people in preparation for job seeking.
