Encompass Health Announces Definitive Agreement To Acquire Camellia Healthcare

Encompass Health (Encompass) recently announced it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Camellia Healthcare (Camellia). The transaction is anticipated to close during the second quarter of 2018, and will be funded with cash by Encompass.

Encompass expects that the acquisition will allow it to better leverage its home health and hospice operating platform across key states, as well as bolster its presence in the southeastern region of the United States. Upon completion of the purchase, Encompass anticipates becoming one of the 25 largest hospice provider organizations in the country.
