HCA Healthcare Is Looking To Acquire Mission Health

HCA Healthcare recently announced it is looking to acquire Mission Health. Mission Health System, Inc. operates as a not-for-profit community hospital system in Western North Carolina and the adjoining region. A letter of intent to begin discussions about the purchase was recently signed, opening the door for negotiations.

While Mission Health is not-for-profit and HCA Healthcare is for-profit, it is not anticipated that there will be any resulting increase in Medicare payments.
