Encompass Health To Acquire Mississippi-Based Health Care Company

Encompass Health Corp. recently announced it is acquiring Mississippi-based health care company Camellia Healthcare (Camellia) and its affiliated entities. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed at this time.

Camellia—which operates a portfolio of home health, hospice, and private duty locations throughout the southeast—saw about $78 million in revenue in 2017. It is anticipated that the acquisition will allow Encompass Health to leverage its home health and hospice operating platform, as well as bolster its presence throughout the Southeast. The transaction is expected to close during the second quarter of 2018.
