Eskaton Ignites Potential Through Workforce Development Opportunities
Eskaton recently announced it is partnering with California Conservation Corps, Pride Industries, CCC Foundation, and Alta California Regional Center to help train people with disabilities. By offering workforce development opportunities to such individuals, Eskaton hopes to introduce more people living with special abilities into the workforce.
Specifically, the workforce efforts teach young adults living with autism how to develop job skills, while also providing them with socialization, mentoring, and intergenerational activities. Such training and services are much needed, as unemployment for individuals with autism in California is over 90%, with 85% of adults with autism living with parents/family.
