Nemours, Life Health Center Partner With Colonial To Open Elementary School Wellness Center

A partnership with Nemours, Life Health Center, and Colonial School District recently led to the opening of a new elementary school wellness center in Delaware. The wellness center will offer health services in response to declining school attendance due to student illness.

It is anticipated that by having health services available at school, students’ attendance will rise, as well as their grades. Some of the services offered at the center will include diagnosis and treatment of acute medical conditions, prescribing and dispensing of medications, immunizations, and access to a school nurse.
