The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved Utah's Medicaid waiver on October 31, 2017, for a limited eligibilty expansion. The waiver allows the state to expand Medicaid eligibility starting on January 1, 2018, for low-income parents earning up to 60% of the federal poverty level (FPL), and to a subset of childless non-elderly adults with income of 0% FPL.
