The New Mexico Human Services Department (the Department) recently denied all four bid protests for its $4.6 billion Medicaid managed care procurement, Centennial 2.0. The company’s whose protests were denied include Molina Healthcare of Mexico, UnitedHealthcare, AmeriHealth Caritas New Mexico, and WellCare of New Mexico.

To date, Molina and UnitedHealthcare have both made statements saying they will take the decision to state district court. In court documents, Molina is also noted to have said it will “likely” leave New Mexico if it is not awarded its sought after Medicaid contract.
