Molina Healthcare Awarded Florida Medicaid Managed Care Contracts After Bid Protest

Molina Healthcare (Molina) recently announced that its subsidiary, Molina Healthcare of Florida, Inc., has been awarded Medicaid managed care contracts by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The contracts apply in Regions 8 and 11 of the Florida Statewide Medicaid Managed Care invitation to negotiate, where Molina currently serves about 105,000 Medicaid members.The awards come as the result of negotiations between Molina and the Florida’s AHCA after Molina protested the administration’s Medicaid managed care awards throughout the state’s eleven regions.
