IBM & Karantis360 Team Up For IoT Assisted Living System

United Kingdom-based Karantis360 recently partnered with IBM to develop a cloud-based assisted living system. The platform will use sensors provided by internet of things (IoT) technology company EnOcean.

The new system will utilize sensors to track consumers’ movement throughout their home as they carry out daily activities, providing a non-intrusive method for monitoring any at-risk occurrences. If the system detects any out-of-the-ordinary activity from the user’s typical routine, it alerts the Karantis360 mobile app. The platform aims to particularly help monitor and protect older individuals, including those with dementia.
